Depending on who you ask,
the mosquitofish is causing huge amounts of ecological damage to areas
where it has been introduced. The damage is not just limited to the
direct exclusion of native fish species, as the mosquitofish has been
shown to harm to things like tadpoles and salamander larvae. If the
mosquitofish has been documented to cause so many problems, why is it
still available as a biological control agent?
